To Honor our Lord and Saviour

Dress & Hygiene Guidelines

MODEST Dress is REQUIRED for admission to WannaDance!

One of the top priorities at WannaDance! is to be a "Safe" place (1 Thessalonians 4:1-8), therefore, THE DRESS CODE IS NON-NEGOTIABLE. Ladies and gentlemen, let's all look nice, be polite and mannerly towards each other and have a wonderful time!

Modest dress means the following:

Ladies:

  • No Braless attire
  • No strapless dresses or tops
  • No revealed cleavage
  • No revealing slits
  • No bare midriffs
  • No see-through attire
  • No mini-skirts or shorts that length
  • Skirts that flip up when spinning require bike shorts underneath

  • Gentlemen:

  • No sleeveless shirts or T-shirts
  • No "gang-banger" style clothing
  • No shorts or ragged pants/jeans

  • Other things we all appreciate:

To Help protect the wood floor:
  • Please wear non-scuff shoes
  • No metal taps or spiked heels

  • To minimize allergic reactions:

  • Avoid strong perfumes
  • Avoid strongly fragranced deodorants or aftershaves

  • The "Daisy Principle":

  • If you perspire heavily, an extra shirt or two to change into might be something to consider
  • Breath mints, breath strips or breath sprays are a good idea for all of us!
  • Whatever else you can think of that will keep you "fresh as a daisy!"

    1 Thessalonians 4:1-8

1 Finally, brothers, we instructed you how to live in order to please God, as in fact you are living.
Now we ask you and urge you in the lord Jesus to do this more and more.
2 For you know what instructions we gave you by the authority of the Lord Jesus.
    3 It is God's will that you should be holy: that you should avoid sexual immorality;
4 that each of you should learn to control his own body in a way that is holy and honorable,
    5 not in passionate lust like the heathen, who do not know God;
6 and that in this matter no one should wrong his brother or take advantage of him.
The Lord will punish men for all such sins, as we have already told you and warned you.
7 For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life.
8 Therefore, he who rejects this instruction does not reject man but God, who gives you his Holy Spirit.
    (NIV)
